take the A465 in the direction of Abergavenny. There is a right turn sign posted Hay on Wye and Clehonger which you IGNORE. Continue on for about 4 miles into Allensmore, turning right onto the B4348 towards Kingstone, Peterchurch and Hay on Wye (Lock’s Garage and Service Station is on the corner).
Continue on the B4348 until you enter Vowchurch and take the 2nd left turn which is signposted Vowchurch and Michaelchurch Escley and is further marked by a sign warning ‘Hidden Dip’.
This road winds up the hill and it is exactly 3 miles from this point to Marises Barn. Once you have entered the hamlet of St Margaret’s look out for the second left turn. Ignore the first left towards the church and Gilvach Farm, and take the second left with a red brick chapel on the corner surrounded by a pinkish orange fence. Marises Barn is the fifth property on the left down this lane. Pull into the gravel parking area at the front of the garden. |
